OmniStar Financial Group1 min read

Congrats to our Carolina Hurricanes for winning the Stanley Cup. According to the Hurricanes’ team chef, Sean Murnane, the players love any protein seasoned with a special maple-bourbon glaze.
So, to honor our Stanley Cup champs, here is their Maple-Bourbon Glaze recipe:
The Hurricanes’ Maple Bourbon Glaze This sweet and smoky sauce is highly requested by the team and perfectly complements game-day salmon, meatballs, or pork tenderloin. Ingredients:
- 1/2 cup pure maple syrup
- 1/4 cup bourbon (use a local North Carolina brand if available)
- 2 tablespoons soy sauce
- 1 tablespoon Dijon mustard
- 1 clove garlic, minced
- Pinch of red pepper flakes
Instructions:
- Combine all ingredients in a small saucepan over medium heat.
- Bring to a gentle boil, then reduce the heat to low.
- Simmer for 10-15 minutes until the sauce coats the back of a spoon and reduces to a thick glaze.
- Brush over your favorite grilled proteins during the last 3-5 minutes of cooking.
