The Front Desk View: Where First Impressions Meet Financial Wisdom

If you’ve ever walked through the doors of OmniStar Financial Group, chances are, I’m the first smile you see. As the office manager, I like to think of myself as the firm’s unofficial “Director of First Impressions” — part traffic controller, part calendar whisperer, and part warm welcome committee.

I manage the moving pieces of our schedule, coordinate client meetings, prep for advisor appointments, and make sure everyone who steps through our doors feels like more than just a name on a file — because they are. Each person who walks in carries hopes, goals, questions, the need to leave a legacy, and yes, sometimes a little financial stress. And I get the front-row seat to watch those worries turn into confidence over time; thanks to the work we do at OSFG.

What might surprise you is just how much I’ve learned about managing money myself in the short time I’ve been here. When I started, I knew the basics: save more than you spend, avoid credit card traps, maybe toss some spare change into a savings account and hope for the best. But now? I’ve seen firsthand the power of intentional planning. I understand why having a financial advisor isn’t just for the ultra-wealthy — it’s for anyone who wants to build a future on purpose, not by accident.

I’ve picked up on things like the value of tax-efficient investing, why budgeting isn’t a punishment but a path to freedom, and how retirement doesn’t magically happen just because you hit a certain age. It takes strategy, structure, and sometimes a few course corrections along the way.

Watching our advisors work with clients — whether they’re planning for retirement, launching a business, or navigating life’s curveballs — has been like getting a free masterclass every day. And the best part? I’ve taken that knowledge home. Although my husband and I have a financial planner, we are going to move everything to OSFG because I’ve witnessed client success stories over and over and I want to be part of a team that really cares—not just about their employees but every single client. You, the Client, make what we do worth every moment we are in the office! I consider myself blessed that I’m able to see the inner workings of this amazing company and partake in the multiple strategies and solutions they provide to financial planning and success.

At OSFG, I’ve learned that wealth isn’t just measured in numbers — it’s measured in peace of mind, options, and the ability to say “yes” to things that matter most. So next time you call to book an appointment or walk through our doors for your review, know that behind the front desk is someone who’s not just managing your time — she’s cheering for your journey.

And if you need a little motivation between reviews, just ask me how my emergency fund’s doing — I promise, it’ll be the most enthusiastic budget conversation you’ve ever had.
